The South Strabane Township Police Department provides full police2coverage 24 hours per day, seven days a week.  We are responsible for patrolling 23.1 square miles of residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial areas. Commercial responsibilities include a shopping mall, four large shopping plazas, and a very busy strip of restaurants and motels.

Traffic patrol responsibilities include 54 miles of Township roads and 49 miles of state roads within the Township borders.

These include heavily traveled routes of S.R. 19, S.R. 40, Locust Avenue, North and South Main Streets, S.R. 136, and Racetrack Road.  Rather long stretches of Interstates 70 and 79 also run through South Strabane and while we are not tasked with primary enforcement as are the PA State Police, we do some traffic enforcement and assist the State Police on major accidents on the Interstates.
