Public Works Department

The Public Works Department performs snow removal, salting of roads, the maintenance of catch basins, leaf pickup, mowing along roads and streets, street sweeping, the maintenance of the township buildings, grounds and equipment.

As the summer nights grow longer and the heat index rises, you’ll likely see and use facilities maintained by our Public Works Department. All Township Parks, ballfields, and municipal facilities are maintained by the Department. In addition to landscaping and maintenance duties, the Public Works Department has an extensive infrastructure program scheduled every summer. The Public Works  Department is responsible for maintaining 57 miles of township roads and streets over an area of 23 square miles by filling potholes, sweeping streets, as well as by clearing debris from road rights-of-way. Additionally, through the joint-paving program portions of Township roads are resurfaced annually. The Department is also responsible for maintaining and repairing all Township stormsewers.
