Administration

Township Administration is headed by the Township Manager, Brandon J. Stanick, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Township, as well as implementing the legislative agenda of the Township Board of Supervisors.

Township Manager - Brandon J. Stanick

Brandon has served as the Township Manager for South Strabane since December 2016. He was appointed after having served 12 years in a community outside of Chicago. He holds a Masters of Public Administration degree from Northern Illinois University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University in political science. Brandon currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Washington County Tax Collection District and is a member of the International City/County Management Association, as well as the Association for Pennsylvania Municipal Management. Brandon enjoys visiting small town America and is a passionate fan of Mountaineer Football.

Assistant to the Township Manager - Jim Sutter

Jim was hired as Assistant to the Township Manager in July 2021. He began his professional career in local government in 2017, working for the Allegheny League of Municipalities. Jim has long had a deep passion for understanding and implementing good governance, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration also from the University of Pittsburgh. He is an loyal fan of all University of Pittsburgh sports and avid follower of all Pittsburgh sports.

Financial Director - Janna Luton

Janna was hired by South Strabane Township in October 2022. 

Janna began working in local government in 2015 where she gained knowledge in working with various grants.  With this, she was able to assist with the distribution, reporting and auditing of federal, state, and local funding. 

In Janna’s free time she enjoys reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with family and friends. 

Administrative Clerk - Stephanie Humensky

Stephanie has been an employee of South Strabane Township since 2014. Often the Township's first point of contact with residents and businesses, Stephanie is responsible for fielding and issuing various permits including park rentals, building and burning permits. Prior to beginning her career in South Strabane Township, Stephanie acquired over two decades of experience working within the financial and customer service sectors. In her spare time Stephanie enjoys walking her dog and cheering on her son's little league baseball team.
