Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee
The purpose of a Comprehensive Plan (the “Plan”) is to establish logical land use and community development policies that will serve as a resource and guide in the decision making process of the Township’s public officials. The Plan will allow the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, Park and Recreation Council and other board and commissions to direct growth and make policy choices consistent with selected goals and objectives. The Township has a history of planning dating back to 1960. This Plan was prepared as a subsection to a much larger Plan prepared by the Greater Washington Regional Planning Commission. The Township’s Plan was last updated and approved in the spring of 1995 (referred to as the 1994 Plan).
