Draft Data Center Ordinance Available for Review

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of South Strabane Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. located at the South Strabane Township Building, 550 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301.

The purpose of this second hearing is to present the regulations for Data Centers as a proposed amendment to the South Strabane Township Zoning Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance is to provide definitions and standards related to Data Centers and add regulations as to the requirements of different zoning areas.

Interested persons may appear at the aforementioned hearing to offer testimony in favor of or in opposition to or to ask questions/concerns of the Proposed Data Center Ordinance. Pertinent records and the proposed Ordinance may be inspected prior to the hearing. A copy of the Ordinance may be viewed below, or at the South Strabane Township Building, located at 550 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301, the Observer Reporter, and the Washington County Law Library.
