Winter Safety

Here are a few tips that will help the Public Works Department keep the high standard of snow removal and response time that you have come to expect in South Strabane Township:

1. Please do not plow or shovel snow into streets and roadways

2. Please do not park in cul-de-sacs.  This makes it difficult for trucks and emergency vehicles to maneuver.

3. If possible, please park vehicles in driveways or otherwise off roadways during snowstorms, so that trucks can clear the roadways more effectively.

4. If you must park your vehicle in the street during snowstorms, do not park directly across from another vehicle.  This reduces the lane width for trucks and emergency vehicles.
